Meet Beth Aylmer

Our Investment Managers are experts in helping you tap into your home equity, but you may have more in common with them than you think. Learn a little more about your Investment Manager, their life outside of Hometap, and why they love working with homeowners like you.

What’s the best part of your job? How does being an Investment Manager at Hometap differ from your past work experiences?

Being an Investment Manager at Hometap is more than just number crunching. It’s about helping homeowners reach their financial goals. Whether those include homeownership, reducing debt, or improving credit, I enjoy being able to help homeowners stabilize their finances and improve their lives. I want to make each homeowner’s investment process easy for them to understand and provide them with easily accessible information.

Is there a particular homeowner story that really made an impact on you? What is it and why?

Often my homeowners have come to Hometap to help pay off their debt. It’s so gratifying to help someone with a low credit rating see an improvement in their score almost immediately after using our Investment in their home to clear up their debt and credit issues.

What are your favorite things to do when you’re not working?

When not working at Hometap, I enjoy watching my oldest son’s podcast, watching my youngest play college football, cooking, or paddleboarding.

Describe your dream home.

My dream home would be located directly on the beach, so I could fall asleep to the sounds of the waves crashing and walk/jog on the beach in the morning.

What’s one thing you wish people knew about Hometap?

When I was moving through the interview process with Hometap, I knew almost immediately that this was the company for me. I love the culture here, but I also enjoy answering my homeowners’ questions and guiding them through the application process. In addition, on a personal level, I have gained a benefit that holds as much value to me as my acquired financial skills. Throughout my position at Hometap, I have had a unique opportunity to become acquainted with many wonderful people. As I speak with my homeowners, I have listened attentively to their hopes and fears, exchanged personal experiences, commiserated with their challenges, and shared in their happiness. I have been blessed with the new friendships of both my colleagues and homeowners.
