A Message to Our Homeowners

Hello, 

All of us at Hometap hope that you and your loved ones are remaining in good health during these unprecedented times. The COVID-19 pandemic is testing us all in unimaginable ways, and as we all navigate through this together, we want you to know the steps we are taking to be there for our homeowners and partners. 

Our number one priority is to ensure we can continue providing home equity investments as safely and efficiently as possible. While many home financing providers have had to make the difficult decision to pause or minimize operations, we’ve been fortunate to be able to continue making home equity investments. This is thanks to the cooperation and flexibility of our team, our partners, and the homeowners we work with. We are extremely grateful to everyone involved. 

Since moving our operations to our home offices in early March, the Hometap team has been carefully monitoring COVID-19 developments and making adjustments as needed to ensure the home appraisers, notaries, and homeowners we work with are conducting business safely and in accordance with county- and state-specific ordinances. 

In a time when homeowners are seeking financial assistance more than ever, I’m thankful that we’ve been able to expand our geographic footprint and increase the number of properties across the United States in which we can invest, as we’re now operational in twelve states after expanding into four new states in May (Arizona, New Jersey, Michigan, and Minnesota). 

Helping homeowners quickly and seamlessly access their home equity without taking on more debt has always been our focus, and while so much has changed in these past few months, our mission has not.
